I sallied forth into the desert seas of the Twitterverse to try and find a following…
What I found was SO MUCH MORE!
There’s A LOT of people who are in the same boat as me. Some a little further downstream, some just starting out on their journey… some are still hollowing out their canoe.
If you are a Writer and haven’t yet gone onto Twitter and joined the #WritingCommunity, then get on there pronto and find us.
The #WritingCommunity on Twitter has been a hugely supportive place to get advice, feedback, encouragement and be able to network. On this page I want to give some links to some of the NICEST people I found on my adventure.
That said there are FAR too many people to mention. Honestly. So below I’m going to put up some of the people you NEED to find on there. You won’t regret it!
So without further ado…
J.D. Greyson – @JFGreysonwrites
She’s the MamaBear of the #WritingCommunity.
Hands down one of the friendliest, most helpful fellow writers I’ve found on Twitter. You won’t find anyone that says a bad word about her… she’s universally loved! She’s always been ready with handy advice, encouragement and a #WritersLift here and there.
If you’re a writer yourself, go find her on twitter and give her account a follow. You won’t regret it.
NikkiTwisted – @nikki_twisted
I think of her as the Community Events Co-ordinator. She’s always hosting something to help new writers trying to build a following. It usually works unless I come along and sink the ship! (Though I still maintain that was J.D. Greyson’s fault for leaving me in charge!)
She’s super friendly, witty, swears like a sailor and guaranteed to make you laugh. Super helpful and chatty. She’s been invaluable in helping me try and nail the Texan accent for Michael in the ‘Songbird‘ books.
She has a book coming out next spring I think – I’m sure she’ll keep us posted! – so give her a follow on Twitter, and buy her book when it’s out!!
Dr. Maggie G – @MaggieGilewicz
Dr. Maggie is wonderful. A real beacon in the Writing Community. She’s massively supportive, up for fun, and an example for us all to follow. Her Tweets are often well thought out and eloquent, and I find her often mimicking what I’m thinking myself. She has a book out called ‘How to Make Sure Your Life Doesn’t Suck‘. Everyone needs this book!

Hollow Pages – @DA_Baldwin
Hollow was one of the first people I met on Twitter and has been steadfast in his interest and support. Always fun to chat to about writing related matters, as he has an expertise in writing and editing. He’s been an excellent sounding board for me. Go give him a follow on Twitter and check out his DeviantArt page for his editing services:
Finally… Click on the link below and it’ll take you to a more comprehensive list of the people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting on Twitter, even if just in passing. We have regular writers lifts on Twitter, so we can all grow our social network and meet like minded others. PLEASE if you are a Writer looking for friends… check these guys out. Thank you.
