Little is known about the origin of man called Honsou, only anecdotal tales. He speaks with a Welsh accent and indeed identifies as that nationality, but it is clear that he is no ordinary man. He is also not a man whose powers were due to a mutation of the M-Gene.
What is known is that he is a genetically engineered super soldier from sometime in the future. His body, while organic and appearing human, is far beyond any human norm. His muscle fibers, for instance, are far denser than normal, providing him with a high degree of inulnerability and superstrength. While not built for speed, the muscle density in his legs provides enough power to propel him for jumps of impressive height and length, meaning he can traverse great distances with speed. His body is also engineered to store huge amounts of energy, giving him a good deal of endurance, meaning he can fight well past the limits of other heroes.
His blood has been engineered to provide an accelerated healing factor, and he is immune to almost all known illnesses and biological weapons.
His genetic abilities are enhanced by a series of cybernetic modifications, most notably to his senses. Vision, hearing, and sense of smell have all been pushed technologically far past human norms.
After making New Chicago his home for the indefinite future, he was a founder of the SuperGroup known as the Plastic Army.
